The high-end clothing retailer relocated to the Calvin Klein space in the Neiman Marcus luxury wing after Calvin Klein closed in June 2010. Pure originally opened on the mall’s first floor in 2007.

“We’re making a major overhaul to the brand,” Liz Joy, chief operating officer for Pure Retail Group, Pure’s parent company, told What Now Atlanta in a telephone interview Thursday.

“Think Liberace Palace meets Neiman Marcus meets night club meets fashion show. It’s going to be sick!”

Pure has been planning a renovation to its new location at Lenox Square Mall since it first relocated.

“It’s ging to be very highbrow,” Joy said. “For example, the drab grey walls will be turned into gorgeous white marble. Ted Turner’s girlfriend and other major celebrities can shop wherever they want but they shop with us.”

Pure anticipates its renovations will be complete by October 1.

  1. 2005 Tacky will always be a favored look for some people I guess…and Ted Turner’s girlfriend!? You don’t get more A List than that!

  2. You have GOT to be kidding. So Drew Lewis can’t survive in Atlanta, but this tacky crap does? What gives?

This store should be a Chanel or Dior boutique. A high-end international retailer that we don’t yet have in Atlanta. Instead, it’s another of what we have WAY too many of – tacky hip-hop culture clothing.

  3. The way the guy in the picture walking into the store is dressed should tell you everything you need to know about this store’s clientele.

  4. “Liberace meets Neiman Marcus”? OK.. I think Liberace and Stanley Marcus are rolling over in their respective graves. If Jersey Shore is ending it’s run, it’s only a matter of time before Pure is over too.
