Lenox Square Mall will soon be home to Peachtree Pint, a beer-on-tap concept like those seen at Atlanta-area food halls.

The Buckhead mall will allow “open containers” in its Fashion Cafe food court to accommodate the new concept, according to Peachtree Pint Owner Farshad Arshid.

“Lenox Square wants a food hall-feel versus a food court,” Arshid in a telephone interview Tuesday told What Now Atlanta.

“Peachtree Pint is the first step in making that a reality.”

Arshid is a Lenox Square veteran of 22 years. The entrepreneur has been involved with the mall as a vendor, manager, and business owner on-and-off the past two decades.

He owns the Standard and G Star Raw in the Buckhead mall.

“Over my 22 year relationship with Simon Property group, I’ve always seen an evolution. They’re very, very innovative.”

Peachtree Pint will open in a 320-square-foot space previously occupied by Which Wich. The design of the space will be “clean with a bit of a classic look.”

Think poured concrete, different types of tile, and possibly some wood accents, according to Arshid.

Peachtree Pint will offer over 30 international and domestic beers on tap and pre-packaged snacks created in partnership with local chefs.

“Georgia has some of the best craft breweries in the country right now. We want to focus on these amazing local breweries and then branch out to national and international.”

But Arshid understands that craft beer isn’t an “everyday thing” so some typical domestic offerings will also be available.

“We just want to provide something everyone enjoys. A nice cold beer with lunch.”

Peachtree Pint is scheduled to open winter 2017.

  1. One place to buy beer does not a “food hall” make. This is a food court. With places like Charleys, Chick-Fil-A, Great Wraps, Sarku, Farmer’s Basket, and WokDragon are no longer there, Fashion Cafe will remain a food court. Mind you, I eat at several of these places, but that’s because I’m OK eating in a food court. I love Krog St Market & Ponce City Market. Those are food halls. Fashion Cafe @ Lenox Square is a food court. Sorry Simon.

    1. Not a good idea. Food court for mostly employees who work in the mall. Customers do use it but not the right atmosphere.
Food court needs an over haul.
      Always has been unappealing
      Low ceiling…not a welcome
feeling. An open container establishment will send the wrong message.
