Le Macaron French Pastries Seeks Out Potential Sites for Two Outposts

Since the mother and daughter duo, Rosalie Guillem and Audrey Guillem-Saba, debuted Le Macaron French Pastries in 2008 and began franchising in 2012, the dessert shop has expanded to 61 locations across the United States. Soon Atlanta will launch its own Le Macaron to meet Americans’ insatiable appetite for French pastries, thanks to franchisee owner Kerwin Glasgow who plans to open two locations in the greater Atlanta area.

The dessert shop is centered around macarons–“light, airy, and flavorful bite-sized cookies” that are considered the “gem of French pastry,” as described on its official website. With a rich history that traces back to the Renaissance period, the macaron continues to delight and dazzle taste buds with its irresistible sweetness and chewy, crispy texture.

Le Macaron offers an array of gluten-free French macarons that are made with simple ingredients. Each macaroon is handmade by a professional French Pastry Chef using the Macaron Parisien recipe that was introduced in the 1830s. The delicate cookie consists of two shells made of almond flour, eggs, and sugar, that are filled with ganache, buttercream or preserves. Tantalizing flavors include Mango Jam, Bubble Gum, Colombian Coffee, Sicilian Pistachio, Salted Caramel, and Orange Grand Marnier with Chocolate. And the dessert parade doesn’t end there. Le Macaron also offers French Gelato, Eclairs, Tarts, and Madeleine Cookies, and Pain au Chocolat.

Although one potential location has yet to be disclosed, Le Macaron has its eyes set on a vacancy at 575 Morosgo Drive, right in the heart of the city, for one of the two Atlanta outposts, according to a building permit filed with the City of Atlanta. An official opening date for this first location has not yet been announced, but we will be sure to keep you updated on when Le Macaron will open its doors to the public.
