Owned by chefs Todd Richards and Josh Lee, both award-winning chefs with culinary roots in Soul and Southern cooking, the restaurant is meant to “bring neighborhoods together,” as their website says. The restaurant’s menu offers a variety of pork, chicken, and beef barbecue with sides of brussels sprout & cabbage slaw, collard greens, and smoked mac and cheese.

Currently open on the weekend, Lake and Oak is only available for takeout as of now. However, there is outdoor patio seating available.

Richards was also planning a new barbecue concept in the former Anderson’s Old Fashioned Bar-B-Que space on Willis Mills Road in the southwest Atlanta neighborhood. Eater reports that Richards has delayed the unnamed concept.
