As part of more comprehensive renovations, which included alterations to the green, cart paths, and practice tee on the north end of the practice range, East Lake Golf Club has opted to remodel the Charlie Yates Golf Course clubhouse and food and beverage program. According to a press release from this May, East Lake Golf Club has hired the architecture and design firm Kuo Diedrich Chi to “reimagine and expand” the food and beverage operations at the course. Renovations to the green were completed earlier this summer.

Kuo Diedrich Chi is a full-service, international design firm with a focus on lifestyle projects for club, resort, retail, and residential clients. The firm will also renovate the clubhouse’s interior with new paint, flooring, and interior design. While the clubhouse is getting a facelift of sorts, the operations won’t change too drastically.
The “refreshed” club house will have around 25 seats, indoors and out, as well as a retail shop and a counter where patrons can check in for their rounds. You’ll be able to purchase wine and beer in cans and bottles, as well as help yourself to a grab-and-go counter or coolers stocked with casual, prepackaged items.
Bobby Jones Links, the prominent Atlanta-based club management company will oversee the golf and food and beverage operations at the course. “The club is in the midst of meeting with contractors and getting bids now so we’re not ready to publish a timeline but the hope is that the project will be finished by the beginning of next golf season,” shared General Manager Cameron Lilly in an email with What Now Atlanta via Pineapple Public Relations representative Kaylie Trotman.
