“To say that opening my first restaurant is a dream come true would be an understatement,” Kevin Ouzts, chef and owner, said in the prepared statement.

“This moment has been the ultimate goal since opening The Spotted Trotter in 2010, and I am beyond excited to finally show Atlanta who I am as a chef and not just as a charcutier. It has been an honor working with the employees, farmers, vendors, and other chefs who have made this opportunity possible, and I am looking forward to showcasing all of that passion on this new stage.”

The Cockentrice will serve “just about everything you can do with a piece of meat” and feature cocktails, beers and ales, and a wine list crafted to pair with menu items.

With seating for upwards of 130 people, the full-service restaurant has an outdoor patio facing Krog Street and is connected to The Spotted Trotter’s second butcher and cheese shop.

The Cockentrice will be the third full-service restaurant to open at KSM joining The Luminary and Craft Izakaya.

  1. We really need more Vegan and Organic Restaurants for us. Animal is not so attractive for the people in the knowing. It is a trend now to think more of health and not of a dead animal to consume.

  2. The Restaurant is “ALL ABOUT MEAT” duh Shouldn’t you be making that comment towards them? No thanks, I don’t do soy or bean curd.
