Kit and Ace has wrapped up its Ponce City Market pop-up.

Ponce City Market reps told What Now Atlanta Tuesday that the location was intended to be temporary.

The Canadian retailer opened its doors November 2015, and is now listed as “permanently closed” on Google. Employees of two neighboring shops confirmed with What Now Atlanta Monday the store has closed.

The PCM outpost was Kit and Ace’s first Atlanta store. But Kit and Ace hasn’t left the market altogether. The brand’s forthcoming The Shops Buckhead Atlanta outpost is still slated to open in May, according to the company website.

The brand specializes in “Technical Luxury™ apparel, accessories and lifestyle products for men and women living full-contact lives.”

Kit and Ace was not immediately available for comment. No word on what will replace the high-end apparel retailer. Developing…

  1. Their window decal clearly indicates it was a pop-up. Probably just had a short-term lease to test the market.

  2. Kit and Ace was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE store at Ponce City Market and I spent way too much money there. They will be missed sorely. The fabric, the cuts, the fit were all flawless. I’ll go to the Buckhead location but when you live downtown, it’s never easy to just zip up to Buckhead and back. My hope is they will expand their brand and get a permanent space back at PCM again.

    1. Totally agree, having a store up in Buckhead doesn’t really serve the people who live in the neighborhoods around PCM. That goes for a lot of national retailers.
