N’awlins restaurant owner to open East Atlanta Village bakery.

East Atlanta is getting an Italian bakery and Market.

Franky Capobianco, self-proclaimed “King of Cannolis” and owner of N’awlins restaurant (which shares space with My Sister’s Room), is opening Capobianco’s Italian Bakery & Market nearby.

N’awlins restaurant took the place of Village Jerk Cafe, which closed the middle of last year. N’awlins was also rumored to be made over by the host of “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover” in a “Kitchen Nightmares” type show.

Capobianco’s will open at 1271 Glenwood Avenue in the now shuttered Origins Real Estate office in the East Atlanta Village. The windows of the storefront are covered with signage announcing the bakery is “coming soon.”

Capabianco says this about his Italian Bakery on a personal Facebook page:

“An old school meets new school Italian haven for desserts, ices, all Italian specialties, wedding cakes, birthday cakes as well as meats, cheeses, olives and breads.”

The Italian bakery and market is slated to open August 1.

  1. Just a quick revision the address is 1267 Glenwood on the new bakery and Market. It is still right next door to Nawlins so no driving to the next destination put the gps away and just walk 7 steps. lol August 1st is the grand opening.
