Playa Bowls will be located at 6365 Halcyon Way Suite 930 in Alpharetta’s Halcyon development. The new Halcyon location will be Playa Bowls’ 143 store nationwide and the fourth location in the state of Georgia. The 1400 square-foot store is located just off Georgia 400 in Forsyth County and is open Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

“Halcyon is the perfect spot for Playa Bowls,” Ransom said in a press release. “With so much community involvement Playa Bowls goes hand in hand in the values that Halcyon has shown. We are excited to welcome everyone into our store and hope they are ready for some tropics in Forsyth County.”

Customers at Playa Bowls can pick from an extensive menu of bowls or custom design their own, choosing from a variety of bases made with superfoods including Pure Acai, Pitaya, Chia Pudding, Coconut, Kale and Bananas bowls. Toppings include fruit, seeds, nuts, granola, dried berries, and nut butters.

Playa Bowls also offers a selection of oatmeal bowls, juices, and smoothies. Playa Bowls can be made vegan, gluten-free, and can be adapted to integrate into Whole 30, Keto, and Paleo diets, according to the release.

Founded by surfers Abby Taylor and Rob Giuliani, Playa Bowls was “born out of the desire to recreate the delicious, refreshing, healthy versions of acai and pitaya bowls the pair encountered on various surf trips” to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, California, and Hawaii, according to the release. At each beach, they discovered new and unique twists on this popular post-surf treat and came home wanting more. The pair set up a blender and a folding table on the boardwalk in their hometown of Belmar, and Playa Bowls was born.

Six years, thousands of employees, and hundreds of thousands of bowls later, Playa Bowls continues to offer superfruit bowls with a mission to lead communities in healthy, sustainable living.

“We’re thrilled to work alongside Nick to open another location in Georgia,” Taylor said. “The community has embraced the Playa lifestyle, and we can’t wait to welcome the people of Alpharetta and beyond, to Pineappleland!”
