This new outpost will be operated by franchisor Boxete Group, which recently signed a 1,900-square-foot lease at the shopping center. Boxete Group was represented by Daniel Yi, vice president for Ackerman Retail, who is working to secure additional locations in metro Atlanta.

“This is a great location for Jaws TPK that gives the restaurant access to a highly diverse population in Gwinnett County,” said Yi in a statement. “This restaurant concept specializing in popular Korean street food is a huge success in South Korea, and Jaws TPK is looking forward to opening its first restaurant in metro Atlanta.”

TPK Jaws’ menu includes a slate of Korean street food staples such as gimbap, which is similar to sushi but features meat instead of fish, as well as topokki soups and a variety of fried goodies like sweet potato, shrimp, squid, seaweed rolls, and dumplings.

Whereas TPK currently operates around 250 locations throughout South Korea, Duluth’s will not only be a first for the region but also the third US store in total, following openings in Los Angeles and Buena Park, California.
