Owner and Chef Anish Nair confirmed the news in an email to What Now Atlanta.

The 550-square-foot food stall is a sister concept to Jai Ho, a full-service restaurant from Nair situated in Morningside since 2017.

It will replace Urban PL8 in the 30,000-square-foot food hall and market, at 99 Krog Street NE.

Jai Ho Indian Galli Kitchen will “blend Indian and French (Pondicherry) flavors in an authentic, affordable fast-casual environment,” according to the press release.

“It was my wife who first came across Krog Street Market and felt it was the perfect place for Indian street food,” Nair said in the release.

“There is so much creativity under one roof. Jai Ho is a concept I have long had in mind, and I think Krog Street Market is the perfect home for it.”

Jai Ho Indian Galli Kitchen will serve a lunch and dinner menu of Indian street food “classics with a twist,” including chicken curried soup, Tandoori shrimp salad, Saag Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala.

Chef Nair’s culinary background began in India but was cultivated in America, eventually as the Chef at Savi Provisions.

Lily H. Heimburger and Adrienne Crawford with SRS Real Estate Partners represented the landlord, Asana Partners (KSM’s new owner), in securing the lease.

The tenant was self-represented.

[Editor’s note: an earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that Paul Nair, the owner of Savi Provisions, was also an owner of Jai Ho. He is not.]
