Aneeta Anderson is the owner of Jada’s Caribbean Cuisine, a restaurant at 2595 Sandy Plains Road in Marietta with an authentic Caribbean atmosphere. Now, there are plans to open a second location — upping the ante with the entire Caribbean experience. Anderson’s goal is to give the island-life experience to those who can’t travel to the real-life destination, due to travel limitations currently in place. The new Jada’s Caribbean Cuisine will be situated at 4674 Sandy Plains in Roswell and Anderson is hoping for a December 15 debut.
Jada’s Caribbean Cuisine’s most popular menu items, according to Anderson, are either the Jerk Chicken or the Oxtails. These menu items have been featured at the Taste of Marietta — one of the largest food festivals in Cobb County — and quickly became a crowd favorite. The reviews from the participants were very high and that encouraged Anderson to press onward in expanding the brand. Anderson signs up Jada’s Caribbean Cuisine for the Taste of Marietta annually.
Opening in Roswell has been a year-long process, according to Anderson. The new space will offer a full bar and continue catering, and also act as a venue for parties and events. “We would like to have an annual Christmas ball, annual Valentine’s ball, and bringing in the New Year,” Anderson told What Now Atlanta (WNA). “We’re just hoping COVID will go away.”
Jada’s Caribbean Cuisine filed a building permit on November 12 with Bakop Construction Services working on the project. As far as future locations go, Anderson said they’re not looking to branch out in the immediate future, but they see possibilities within the next five years.
