“Bob’s Burgers” is planed at Sugarloaf Mills Mall, as per a permit filing obtained by What Now Atlanta (WNA). At 5900 Sugarloaf Pkwy, this restaurant could be associated with the eponymous TV show, which has introduced this fictional fast-food concept to the real world several times in the past. The timing makes sense — a movie-spinoff of the TV show aptly titled Bob’s Burgers: The Movie has a premiere set around the corner in 2021.

Eggslut’s Chef Alvin Cailan has served as head cook behind the burger joint, which has popped up in various cities across America: St. Louis, New York, LA, Phoenix, and even a previous location in Atlanta in 2018 (in Fred’s Meat & Bread’s Midtown space on 75 5th St. NW), as Food & Wine reported. An outpost in August opened in Chicago.
During its brief residency in Midtown, Bob’s Burgers’ pop-up served free “Bacon-ings Burger” and swag items to the first 800 guests. Bob’s Burgers’ real-life restaurant is a joint effort between Cailan, 20th Century Fox Television, Bento Box Entertainment, and Blue Apron, who sent out a press release regarding the concept.
“We are so excited to bring the Bob’s Burgers and Blue Apron brands together with this fun, new partnership that allows the many passionate and enthusiastic Bob’s Burgers fans to directly connect with –– and create –– recipes featured on the show,” said 20th Century Fox spokesperson, Brian Gartland.
Bob’s Burgers menu moved away from the show’s food options slightly, and instead, Cailon created all-new burger recipes just for the occasion, according to the press release. WNA reached out to Sugarloaf Mills, as well as Bob’s Burgers reps who have yet to confirm if there is a connection to this project, or if the name is simply a coincidence.
