Upper West Market is planned for 1385 Collier Road NW, in the Underwood Hills neighborhood. The new concept from Robles Partners will feature local restaurants and brands, with fresh produce and other local items.
But the market is making one thing clear: It is not a food hall.
Upper West Market aims “to create and cultivate an accessible community that authentically bolsters local, fresh, and sustainable goods,” according to the website.
The first floor is expected to feature a 9,000-square-foot area with 30 stalls for local vendors. The second floor will feature 13,000 square feet of space available for other tenants and office use.
Expected vendors so far include Honeysuckle Gelato, Dips Kitchen, White Oak Pastures and Summerland Farms. There will be a wine bar from Hop City Beer & Wine, and Novare Events will operate an on-site venue in a separate building from the local vendors. There will also be a 3,800-square-foot café from award-winning chef Anne Quatrano.
In addition to the vendors and on-site food-and-beverage options, the market will host cooking classes and other events.
Upper West Market is expected to be open summer 2025.
