With A Thirteen by Thirteen Foot Bed In The VIP Area, Who Cares If iLounge Or uLounge! Room For All…

iLounge, a hookah and martini bar on Glenwood Ave. in East Atlanta officially opens tonight, Monday April 5.

Offering 40 different flavors of hookah, iLounge plans on making martini’s that compliment hookah flavors.

Centered on live music Monday through Saturday, the original intent was for jazz at the iLounge.

Considering the area, Creative Director and Co-owner, Corey Dorsey decided that iLounge should have artists from a wide variety of music backgrounds, but primarily Indie.

“Every seat at iLounge is [ergonomically] correct” to “release your spine,” Dorsey says in describing the “four different ways” to lounge on the handmade stools, chairs and booths.

Each hookah can be used with up to three hoses. Flavors rang in price from 10-15 dollars. If you stay with the same flavor, your refill flavor is only five dollars. iLounge will have a total of 15 hookahs. They will be located out front, inside, and on the patio.

Amanda Vanwinkle, iLounge co-owner, will be serving up martinis from the iTunnel, the name for the curvaceous bar.

“She has over 100 martini varieties,” Dorsey told what now, atlanta?. “Our premium drinks are three to four dollars less than any other club or restaurant,” he said.

With maximum occupancy set for 250, iLounge seats 86 comfortably inside. The back patio has room for 50.

The VIP area upstairs was designed for the artist and entertainers at iLounge, equipped with a shower in the bathroom and a thirteen by thirteen foot bed!

Cubbyholes for shoes and purses, drink trays and hookahs with 10-foot hoses, make the bed ideal for enjoying hookah.

With two televisions, Play Station three on one and a Wii system on the other, there is also a great view of the stage.

When questioned about the bed situation, which threw us for a spin, Dorsey proudly answered with the following:

The windows are not tinted, no funny business going on. That’s the first thing you are going to think when you see the bed. But really it’s mainly so you can relax, kick off your shoes and enjoy yourself. A real VIP, not a box like you see in a lot of clubs. We want to make sure your 100% comfortable in the iLounge.
