UPDATE (March 17): Pacci Ristorante to reopen as ‘R’ Restaurant and Lounge at Midtown’s former Hotel Palomar

Midtown’s Hotel Palomar is undergoing a change in ownership which will result in closure of their in-house restaurant.

Pacci Ristorante, located at 866 West Peachtree Street, should close March 25, according to restaurant spokeswoman Melissa Libby.

“It’s my understanding that Pacci is closing on 3/25,” said Libby in a direct message to What Now Atlanta on Twitter. “The new owners will decide what to do with it from there.”

John Kessler with the Atlanta Journal Constitution noted in his report the Thayer Lodging Group acquired Hotel Palomar and “has ousted the hotel’s management firm,” Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.

Pacci Manager, Gino Dew said the closing of the restaurant was “news to me,” during a visit to the hotel Saturday.

We asked Midtown resident and Pacci patron Josh Savage, who was enjoying cocktails on the restaurant’s patio Saturday, if he knew of the restaurant’s alleged closure.

“It won’t hurt my feelings,” Savage said.

Amy Wenk with Midtown Patch contributed to this report.

  1. Hopefully, they will also implement a no smoking policy for thier employees. Having servers that reak of cigerette smoke makes the dining experience less appealing.
