Holmes Slice, the newest eatery from Taylor Neary, the owner, and chef of Restaurant Holmes, is opening the week of August 31 in Halcyon’s Market Hall, according to a press release Wednesday. Holmes slice operates out of a pizza stall as a nod to old-fashioned pizza parlors found in New York and Naples, Italy, as well as retro West Coast pizza joints.

The menu features three different salad options, including the Greekish with local greens and Caesar, and five different pizzas to choose from, ranging from the Proper Zah with pomodoro sauce, local basil, and mozzarella to the Mexi-Cali with chorizo, cotija cheese, confit shallots, and pomodoro. Each pizza uses made-from-scratch dough and locally-sourced produce, fired in a custom-made wood-burning oven, all on display for guests to view through a window to the kitchen. Guests can purchase a single slice or full pie right from the counter.

The menu also boasts a craft cocktail program with frozen drinks such as Pineapple Strawberry Hibiscus Frozè and the Cuba Libre, as well as rotating draft beer lists including a seasonal beer created exclusively for Holmes Slice by Six Bridges Brewing.

The Holmes Slice food stall is located between Gu’s Dumplings and Land of a Thousand Hills, at 6330 Halcyon Way, and is open daily 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
