The concept was created by owner Joshua Brock when he chose to live a healthy vegan lifestyle about five years ago, but could not find many dining options for himself.
Brock’s menu is based on classic hibachi-style where guests can choose a plant-based protein such as teriyaki chicken, shrimp, Impossible Meat, or tofu paired with a variety of vegetables and fried rice, with the option to add Hippie Hibachi’s house-made Vegan Yum Yum sauce.
“I’ve worked at many restaurants over the years so my past professional experiences combined with my learning Japanese cooking techniques from my mother’s side of the family have aided in preparing me to run my own kitchen,” Brock said in a press release. “My team and I are super excited to offer delicious dishes that are all vegan and will suit the lifestyle that more folks choose each day. We receive a fair amount of asks for vegan food at Chattahoochee Food Works. Our hibachi cooking style is something that has not been done in our market just yet.”
Hippie Hibachi hours will be the same as Chattahoochee Food Works food hall: Sunday to Wednesday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday to Saturday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Entree prices range from $18 to $20.
