Hattie B’s first announced plans to double-down in Atlanta in August 2019, about a year after the Nashville-based hot chicken brand broke into the market. Permit plans were filed six months later. Today, the family-owned business operates eight locations, with four in its home city, one in Birmingham, one in Memphis, and one the way out west in Las Vegas. Houston will soon have its very own Hattie B’s as well.

Established in 2012 by father-and-son duo Nick Bishop Sr. and Nick Bishop Jr., Hattie B’s has become a national contender in the Nashville hot chicken craze. The Hot Chicken Sandwich and Dirty Bird Fries are naturally at the top of the Hattie B’s menu, and other popular items include plates, tenders, and sides like creamy slaw, baked beans, and pimento mac & cheese.

We reached out to Nick Bishop Sr. but did not hear back at the time of publication, so you’ll want to keep an eye on Hattie B’s social media for further details regarding the much-anticipated opening of the West Midtown storefront.
