The Works is an 80-acre adaptive reuse destination inspired by a rich history of creative makers, skilled artisans, and forward-thinking entrepreneurs. The announcement comes from project developer Selig Development.

Occupying a 2,000-square-foot space, the shop will continue to offer eco-friendly products for baby and mom that it is known for. Happy Mango will be located at 200 Chattahoochee Row, joining already-open concepts such as BOBO Intriguing Objects, Stellar Bodies, Les Mains Nail Bar and Adelina Social Goods. It is slated to open in early 2022.

“During my first visit to The Works, I knew this was the perfect location to move the Happy Mango brand,” said CEO Phnewfula Frederiksen in a press release statement. “Happy Mango is a family-friendly, mommy-friendly boutique creating a warm and welcoming environment for all guests, and The Works provides that same positive energy. We provide a safe space for parents to learn the ins and outs of pregnancy and motherhood while introducing them to high-quality eco-friendly products. We’re thrilled to be moving to the Upper Westside and look forward to meeting soon-to-be mamas and families.”

Frederiksen started Happy Mango as an online store in 2009 after noticing a need for higher quality eco-friendly baby products. She later opened a brick and mortar location in East Atlanta’s Kirkwood neighborhood to provide not only those products, but also educational services to new mothers.

“Happy Mango will be a great addition to The Works. There are so many families in the surrounding community and a boutique focused on eco-friendly offerings for babies is missing,” said Mindy Selig, Senior Vice President of Leasing at Selig. “We are always searching for innovative tenants to bring to the Upper Westside and we’re excited to add Happy Mango.”

The Works boutique will offer apparel, strollers and car seats, nursery essentials, bath and diapering products, nursing and feeding products, select items just for mom and more.

The Works is home to multiple retailers and restaurants, such as Dr. Scofflaw’s, Ballard Designs, Adelina Social Goods, BOBO Intriguing Objects, Tinte Salon, Basik Spaces, Stellar Bodies, Les Mains Nail Bar, Fox Bros Bar-B-Q., American Axes and Chattahoochee Food Works, a 31-stall food hall. The Camp, a heavily programmed, one-acre signature park, and the Spur, a 970-foot linear park, are additional highlights.
