Ground last week broke on Halidom, a mixed-use development in East Atlanta that will house the national headquarters of IST Management Services, at 1341 Moreland Ave. SE. IST, which has operated in the community for 15 years, is developing the project and will occupy a 20,000-square-foot space for its new offices. IST is a business process outsourcing company currently operating at 934 Glenwood Ave. The firm is led by Hal Blackman.

Halidom, which bills itself as a “sanctuary in the heart of the city where nature and urban development come together to create a one-of-a-kind mixed-use development,” will feature Class-A offices, retail and restaurant space, “boutique urban-garden” apartments, and a nature preserve along Intrenchment Creek. Its name means “something held sacred.”

Vantage Realty Partners has recently been retained by IST to lease Halidom’s retail and restaurant space. As it is early into the engagement, Vantage has not yet secured tenants for the project. “We are just starting pre-leasing for commercial tenants,” Brittany McCall of Vantage this week told What Now Atlanta. “[IST] has assembled a great team all across the board to assist them in this endeavor and every detail of the project has been carefully thought through. Since they are actually going to be officing on-site, there is an extra level of care and attention being paid to the project to ensure its success. Everyone gets the vision and is super excited about the development!”

Available spaces include 15,000 square feet of ground-level retail and 8,000 square feet of third-level commercial space in the “mixed-use building,” and 6,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space in the “out parcel building.” Halidom will offer 220 parking spaces. The project’s multifamily component will arrive as part of a future phase.

    1. Seems a little aspirational to call it East Atlanta although it prompted me to check Google maps and find an East Atlanta boundary I wouldn’t have guessed in 100 years.
