The restaurant and bar will take the place of the now-shuttered Amsterdam Cafe, Guac Y Margys co-owner David Barton confirmed with What Now Atlanta, and is expected to open next month.

The original Guac Y Margys, in the city’s Old Fourth Ward, is known for its lively atmosphere, freshly-made margaritas, and rotating seasonal taco menu.

According to Barton, Guac Y Margys will initially utilize just the patio and front section of the space on Amsterdam Walk, but plans to open up the restaurant’s back area are in the works for the fall and winter.

We should know more details over the next few days, but for now, let’s all rejoice in the the news of another margarita bar to hop to this summer.
