Greg Mike, contemporary artist and founder of ABV Gallery and Agency, has filed a permit application with the City of Atlanta to convert a former church into a gallery space. The two-story, 7,927 square-foot building, which stands at 1206 Metropolitan Avenue SE, will undergo interior and exterior renovations, according to the application, and the cost of construction is estimated to be $500,000.00.

Mike established ABV Gallery and Agency in 2010. Through the contemporary gallery, which is currently exhibiting work by Elli Eglisson, Mike has worked with over 500 artists world-wide and hosts events like Drink and Doodle as well as digital workshops, classes, and panels. The gallery is headquartered in Atlanta’s Old 4th Ward district.

ABV Agency offers marketing and design services and specializes “in translating the visions and desires of our clients into striking visuals, products, and experiences. From design to fabrication, we create unique and engaging work that stands out amongst the competition.”

Mike’s own work is described as having a Surrealist Pop Art perspective. In 2015, Mike founded OuterSpace Project, which has produced over 85 murals throughout Atlanta.

We reached out to Mike to learn more about the plans for the former church on Metropolitan Ave but did not hear back at the time of publication. You’ll want to find ABV Gallery online to learn more.
