The family-owned restaurant will move from its Gwinnett County location in the Snellville Plaza Shopping Center to a free-standing building at 2735 Main Street W, Snellville, Georgia, replacing a former Zaxby’s restaurant.

George and Pano Koulouris inherited the restaurant brand from their father, carrying on the tradition of providing traditional Greek food to the community.

With the planned Fall 2023 opening, the brothers are excited about this new expansive opportunity.

“My father emigrated to the US and opened the first Grecian Gyro in Hapeville to create a better life for himself and his family. Over forty years later, we still feel like we’re living the American dream, and are so happy to be expanding into this new location that will allow us to offer a Drive-Thru and Izzy’s Ice Kreme to the Snellville community, which has welcomed us so warmly,” Koulouris said in a press release shared with What Now Atlanta.

The expanded Snellville location will feature an easily accessible drive-thru and offer the brand’s signature ice cream, IZZY’S EUROPEAN ICE KREME. Founded in 2019, Izzy’s European Ice Kreme offers a Euro flair to traditional soft serve, featuring ultra-creamy Ice Kreme and Greek FroYo made with Oikos Greek Yogurt.

The menu at the new Grecian Gyro location will remain the same and is comprised of classic Greek and Mediterranean specialties, including handcrafted gyros and plates, fresh Greek salads, Grecian potatoes, spanakopita, hummus, and more.

Each Grecian Gyro location serves lunch and dinner daily, offering a captivating fast-casual dining experience reminiscent of a traditional Greek café. In addition to dine-in and take-out, Grecian Gyro provides online ordering, delivery, and catering throughout metro Atlanta.

Grecian Gyro is a family-owned, fast-casual restaurant founded by owner Nick Koulouris in 1982. Since its opening, Grecian Gyro has continued to grow with Nick’s two sons, George and Pano, expanding upon their father’s dream to six locations, including Dunwoody, Forest Park, Hapeville, Snellville, Tucker, and Midtown, with catering available across metro Atlanta.

Grecian Gyro’s Snellville location is open Monday – Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
