The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, March 29, at 10 a.m. at 2576 MLK Jr. Dr. in Atlanta.

Hamilton Hills will provide a transit-connected affordable housing community consisting of 52 high-quality one, two, and three-bedroom apartment homes as well as community spaces, a playground, a community garden, and outdoor gathering spaces. All units in this project will be affordable to households making up 50-60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Anticipated rents will start at $904 for one-bedroom units, $1,085 for two-bedroom units, and $1,253 for three-bedroom units.

The Hamilton Hills community is well-connected to the greater Atlanta area with its proximity to H.E. Holmes MARTA Station and accessibility to Interstate 285 and Interstate 75/85 along Interstate 20.

“We are truly excited and grateful to continue the momentum with a second award from DCA in two years to bring additional, and much needed, quality affordable housing to this location within the City of Atlanta,” Joel Reed, Southeast Market President of Gorman & Company said in a statement. “We would especially like to thank DCA and Councilmember Boone for their continued dedication to accessible, inclusive affordable housing.”
