Serial restaurateur Dennis McKinley is finally set to open his long-awaited Good Morning Breakfast Bar eatery in the Old Fourth Ward (O4W). McKinley, who is actively growing his The Original Hot Dog Factory franchise across the country among other things, was delayed in debuting the restaurant by nearly six months because the City of Atlanta halted the review of all alcohol licensing amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Good Morning will open in place of Puff and Pedals, at 367 Edgewood Ave. SE, on Sunday, September 19, McKinley Friday told What Now Atlanta (WNA). “I’m excited to open new businesses in the O4W,” he said. “It’s where I lived and invested since I’ve been in Atlanta and late-night food is needed to compliment Edgewood’s vibrant nightlife.” There will be a hiring fair on Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the restaurant. “All positions will be considered,” according to a hiring advert from earlier this week.
The restaurant will offer late-night eats serving into the wee hours of the morning from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. daily. Atlantans can expect “Waffle House on steroids” out of the 1,200-square-foot space. Scope the opening menu below:

Amazing! Been looking forward toward to this hotel opening. The outside looks amazing! Love the renderings.
The Darwin: Survival of the Fittest. This is literally across the street from some of Atlanta’s most violent and scariest housing and directly adjacent to the notorious Family Dollar strip mall on Ponce. This fleabag motel previously was a Red Roof Inn. No thank you.
Looks great. But a lounge that seats 13 and bar to seat 8 sounds a bit small for a 111 room hotel..
This is exciting news for an area that is quickly changing in Atlanta! I have been living near Ponce City Market in O4W for the past 15 years and looking forward to checking out another cool spot in the area!
You can’t look like a Hampton Inn and claim to be ‘upscale’ and ’boutique’.
