Golden Drops Café is planned for a space on the campus of Emory University, at the Michael C. Carlos Museum. The space used to be occupied by Ebrik Coffee Room. According to the museum, Golden Drops Café is expected to open in late 2024.

The original Golden Drops Café opened in 2016 at 1788 Clairmont Road, about 2.5 miles from the upcoming museum location. Victor Ramirez, who is from the Dominican Republic, owns the shop. He previously opened an iteration of the café in Beijing, China, before closing and moving to the United States.

The Latin-inspired coffee shop serves a variety of coffee beverages, including lattes, frappes, mochas and more. The food menu includes items like empanadas, sandwiches and croissants, as well as popular Brazilian treats like coxinhas (a savory pastry with chicken and cream cheese) and pão de queijo (cheese puffs).
