Gio’s Chicken Siciliana is set to open in The Battery Atlanta sometime in the “next few weeks,” according to a press release Friday.
Giovanni Di Palma’s newest Italian eatery, first uncovered in April 2019, is taking space previously occupied by Feed Fried Chicken + Such in the mixed-use development.
The 3,000-square-foot restaurant is situated, at 900 Battery Ave SE #1040, across from Cru Food & Wine Bar.
Gio’s Chicken Siciliana will feature a menu of chicken dishes made with Bell & Evans natural chicken, slow-roasted in wood-fired ovens, along with a selection of pasta dishes, all served family-style at communal tables.
It will mark Di Palma’s second restaurant to open at the Battery Atlanta joining Antico, one of the mixed-use development’s original tenants.
The new restaurant is one of three tenants announced Friday for The Battery Atlanta.
Nashville-established boxing gym Pepper Boxing opened Saturday, June 15 in the development and Lush Nail Bar is aiming to debut before the end of the month.
“Our lineup continues to evolve to bring new experiences and services to our guests, residents, and community,” Jeremy Strife, senior vice president and general manager of The Battery Atlanta, said in the release.
“Adding some of Atlanta’s favorite concepts along with boutique style amenities makes The Battery Atlanta a year-round destination.”
Pepper Boxing, located in a 4,800-square-foot studio, houses a fitness studio as well as the company’s first P.B. Boutique, a collection of boxing-inspired athleisure wear.
The classes feature a three-part workout focused on boxing and weight training in a circular “ring” bag layout for unobstructed instruction.
Lush Nail Bar will be a 1,790-square-foot nail spa located on Heritage Court, across from Wahlburgers.
Services offered include “organic nails” and eyelash extensions.
Other upcoming openings at The Battery Atlanta include The Void, an immersive virtual experience set to open later this summer, and Ph’east, an Asian food hall opening in the fall.
