The Avenue West Cobb this week announced the opening of Gibney’s Tavern with Cima Taqueria’s debut slated for June 13, 2022. The new restaurants joins a mix of national retailers, local merchants and specialty restaurants at the center including Barnes & Noble, Ted’s Montana Grill, Kirkland’s and more.
“We are extremely excited to welcome these two new incredible restaurant concepts from Marietta local John Gibney to The Avenue West Cobb,” Jessica Peterson, marketing director at The Avenue West Cobb, said in a press release. “Gibney’s Tavern and Cima Taqueria will bring a refreshing take on dining and entertainment, allowing guests to discover new, delicious flavors.”
Gibney’s Tavern is a 6,000 square-foot restaurant with a bar and grill menu and private event space. “With a new transformed extended patio area, Gibney’s outdoor gaming oasis allows guests to enjoy the weather while dining and playing games like cornhole, yard checkers and life-size Jenga,” according to the release. The tavern is now open, at 3625 Dallas Hwy Suite 645, next to LensCrafters.
Cima Taqueria is an approximately 2,000 square-foot Mexican casual restaurant. Featuring unique tacos, Mexican dishes and a tequila list, Cima Taqueria plans to bring a new, “chic spin” to the Taco Tuesday experience. The taqueria is expected to open on June 13, at 3625 Dallas Hwy Suite 645A, between Talbots and Gibney’s Tavern.
“Gibney’s Pub has incredible success over the years, proudly serving the Atlanta community since 1997,” John Gibney, owner and operator of Gibney’s Pub, Gibney’s Tavern and Cima Taqueria, said. “I am thrilled to be bringing my newest restaurant concepts to Marietta and looking forward to the start of a long and prosperous relationship with The Avenue West Cobb.”
Gibney’s Tavern and Cima Taqueria are the second and third restaurants from Gibney. Gibney also owns Gibney’s Pub, a local neighborhood bar located in Peachtree Center Mall.
