Teriyaki Madness has plans to open its first Georgia store in Marietta.

The national Asian-inspired fast casual grill that serves up "Seattle-style teriyaki" is slated to open in the Sandy Plains Centre, at 2960 Shallowford Road, January 16 at 11 a.m., Teriyaki Madness Wednesday announced in a press release.

The first five guests to order will receive free teriyaki bowls for a year and the next 20 will receive free bowls for a month. Other prizes and coupons will be given out throughout the day.

Teriyaki Madness of Marietta will be owned and operated by husband and wife team, Joe and Robin Cleveland.

“The first time I tried Teriyaki Madness I was amazed by the flavor and portions,” Robin said in the release.

“I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. I feel like Teriyaki Madness is an extension of where my true passion lies. We are eager to provide a healthy and unique dining option for local families and to create an environment that supports the community.”

The nearly 1,500-square-foot restaurant, situated in suite 110 of the Kroger-anchored shopping center, will create approximately 20 new jobs for the community and hold up to 40 dine-in guests.

Founded in 2003, Teriyaki Madness is a have-it-your-way style dining experience where you choose a bowl or plate that can be loaded up with teriyaki chicken, beef or tofu, and add a choice of yakisoba noodles, white, brown, or fried rice, topped off with steamed and wok-tossed vegetables.

The bowls, which are priced around $7.99 each, can be customized as low-carb, gluten-free or double meat.
