Sushi bar preps for pizzeria’s closure

Everybody’s Pizza in Virginia Highland will cease operation at the close of business today, Sunday Dec. 5.

Genki Sushi Bar and Grill will take the restaurant’s place at 1040 N. Highland avenue.

Genki filed a building permit with the city of Atlanta this week for “interior renovations” and “exterior facade modifications.”

Everybody’s Pizza will keep their Emory Village location open.

Genki currently has two locations. The original opened its doors back in 1996 in Buckhead just north of Buckhead Theatre at 3186 Roswell road.

The Sandy Springs location opened its doors in October of 2009 at the Prado Shopping Center just inside the perimeter at 5590 Roswell road, suite 100.
