Although owner Zain Gillani doesn’t yet know what he will name the establishment, he is in permitting with the City of Atlanta to convert a long-defunct autobody shop at 2775 Campbellton Road SW into a combination gas station convenience store and retail units for rent. According to Gillani’s permit, the conversion will cost an estimated $515,000.

Ideally, Gillani told What Now Atlanta, gas will be flowing and snacks will be selling by the end of 2021.

“The building will get a major facelift and transform that corner,” said Gillani. “The property will have ample lighting and an abundance of parking spaces, as compared to some of the small sites in the area…we felt like it was a good opportunity for us to convert a distressed building in the neighborhood that is already zoned for a use that we want.”

Subject to permitting, the yet-unnamed gas station will have four gas lines.
