An Open Secret

North Point Mall in Alpharetta has a proven record of Georgia retail firsts: the first Apple store, the first H&M, Aerie, Buckle, American Girl boutique, and guess who’s next?

Slated to open mid to late October of this year, construction is underway for ‘G by Guess?,’ which launched in 2007, offering a lifestyle collection of casual apparel and accessories for women and men.

Taking space that was formerly Sharper Image on the lower level by JC Penney in North Point Mall, this clothing store’s demographic is geared to target 16 to 23 year olds, similar to Abercrombie’s Hollister concept. With jeans ranging from $40 to $50, it will be considerably cheaper than the $200 denim line currently offered by, you guessed it, their parent company Guess? (no. that IS the company).

With several locations in other cities across the U.S. since 2007, ‘G By Guess?’ does has plans for expansion in Georgia, to include the Mall of Georgia in Buford and Town Center in Kennesaw within the next couple of years.

‘G by Guess?’ is a style comparable to Express and Armani Exchange with the store appearance similar to a nightclub version of the ill-fated Martin and Osa, according to a spokesperson for leasing at North Point Mall, one of the four malls in Georgia owned by General Growth Properties.
