Nate Hybl, a former NFL quarterback (played for the Cleveland Browns and the Jacksonville Jaguars), is opening Gusto Wood Fire Grill in Buckhead’s Brookwood Village, at 1931 Peachtree Road.

Signage announcing the new concept recently went up at the space formerly occupied by Siagon Cafe (and Mama Fu’s before that.)

What Now Atlanta (WNA) scoured our sources for more information about the concept, and came across a telephone number on the restaurant’s Facebook page that lead to Hybl’s voicemail.

Although details around Gusto are scarce, the restaurant’s website and signage do indicate an opening is slated for “late summer 2014.”

  1. Having been a part of the test market, but having no financial relationship to this business, I have sampled many foods that Hybl will offer and understand the serving concept is quick serve along the Chipotle concept of fresh cooked foods on a wood grill, but with many international flavor options. At least that was the concept when first discussed over 12 months ago. There is no indication of any change.

Gusto is something to be excited about and Hybl may have created something that will explode the way Chipotle did. Make no mistake about this, Gusto is NOT a Chipotle clone or even a Mexican or Tex Mex concept. It was presented as an international collection of flavors all prepared from fresh food, but rolled out with line service.

Definitely check out Gusto when it opens fall 2014.
