“We’re still working on the concept. My partner and I are planning an American-style restaurant,” says Thomas. “We want to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as weekend brunch.

GVO will be Thomas’s first restaurant, but he “played in the NFL, so I’ve got a built-in network.” Thomas played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League, South Carolina Gamecocks, and San Francisco ’49ers.

He chuckles when pressed by What Now Atlanta to discuss his NFL experience further. “The best of my career came in Canada Grey Cup championship,” he laughs, before changing the subject.

“This is a great location for GVO Restaurant,” Thomas continues. “We’re still working out the details, but will keep you up to date.”

  1. Minimize the soul part of the food and cook some healthy meals. We have enough slave food in the community and it’s killing our people. All the fast food restaurants that fry everything, tons of sodium and carbs has got to stop! If we want great healthcare, it starts with the food we put in our mouth.
