The 3,000-square-foot restaurant will host a pre-opening event on Sunday, April 9, to benefit Atlanta-based charity The Giving Kitchen, which provides emergency assistance grants to Atlanta’s restaurant community facing unanticipated hardships.

The free, public event, is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“It’s been a great four years for First Watch in the Atlanta area,” Chris Tomasso, president of First Watch, said in a prepared statement.

“We opened our first restaurant here in 2013, and the response and demand from customers has been outstanding. We couldn’t be more excited to bring First Watch’s fresh breakfast, brunch and lunch menu here, and to celebrate this milestone all while supporting our friends in crisis in the restaurant community here.”

First Watch’s curated menu includes items like Avocado Toast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and a Juice Bar with beverages including the Kale Tonic.

The restaurant will open with First Watch’s latest “Urban Farm” interior design, which combines “farm fresh elements with a high-energy, urban vibe.”

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers customers complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.

The First Watch in Decatur will be the company’s seventh restaurant in the Atlanta area, with other restaurants in Alpharetta, Dunwoody, Vinings, Snellville, John’s Creed and Kennesaw.

The new restaurant will employ about 25 people.
