It’s a whole new world for The Disney Store
The Disney Store has launched an innovative and newly designed concept store throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Europe and will open their first Georgia location at Perimeter Mall.
Located at 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road, the store is scheduled to open “spring 2011,” according to recently posted signage at the space.
Discover Mills Mall in Lawrenceville, North Point Mall in Alpharetta and Town Center Mall in Kennesaw, currently host the original Disney Stores. Disney will add more than 25 new and remodeled locations, with the ultimate goal of transforming all of its more than 350 stores worldwide.
“Guests told us that we brought the magic back to Disney Store with the launch of our new design and responded by staying in the stores longer and purchasing more,” said Jim Fielding, president of Disney Stores Worldwide.
“The future of Disney Store is brighter than ever as we expand our reach by opening in new markets, leverage the latest technology to enhance the guest experience and improve efficiency, showcase incredible new Disney content and bring a magical Disney experience to local communities everywhere.”
First-time Disney Stores will come to Copenhagen, Denmark; Dublin, Republic of Ireland; and Antwerp, Belgium in 2011. The new store on Oxford Street in London promises to be a major tourist attraction; two other UK stores — Bromley and Nottingham — will unveil the remodeled design. Additional remodeled European stores include Lyon, France; Naples, Italy; Cadiz, Spain; and Las Arenas on Gran Canaria, one of the Canary Islands.
