With a background in IT and Industrial Engineering, Founders Ryan Harlan and Todd Johnson started building their coffee business by roasting every Saturday at home. They turned their hobby into a business when they purchased an industrial roaster and opened a shop and roastery in the Strongbox West coworking community. Currently, they have two commercial roasters, operate a tasting room at Strongbox West, and offer wholesale partnerships and subscriptions. Firelight has also joined forces with partner cafes all over Atlanta, including Inman Perk, Fetch Park (with a forthcoming location at Buckhead Village), and Gilly Brew Bar in Stone Mountain, where they “help businesses design and personalize their coffee programs.”

“When the opportunity arose to partner with Buckhead Village, we thought it would be a great chance to connect directly with customers and share our value for making excellent coffee accessible to everyone,” Johnson said in the release. “We spend a lot of time roasting and shipping coffee, so we’re excited to get out of the roastery and share some of our drinks with the world!”

Firelight Coffee Roasters is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The coffee pop-up is one of many new initiatives under the direction of Jamestown, the developer that recently-acquired the mixed-use center. Hat-making brand B.M. Franklin & Co. debuted a pop-up in Buckhead Village in October and Pinker Times Floral Design Studio is open through March 2021.

    1. I’m pretty impressed with the new tenants/pop-ups that Jamestown has brought to this development.
It’s looking a lot more interesting (and accessible) for the local shopper.
Enough of that ‘exclusive’ corporate luxury brand stuff.

I really like the hand graphic on that coffee mug– not sure if it’s their logo, but it’s pretty cool.

Keep it up Jamestown, your formula is working for you!
