[Exclusive] KarmaFarm Replaces Holeman and Finch in Buckhead

After closing its original location and moving into Savi Provisions, KarmaFarm’s new outpost prioritizes outdoor dining and takeout.

KarmaFarm has moved to its new location at 2277 Peachtree Road, co-owners Scott and McCall Wilder Monday exclusively shared with What Now Atlanta (WNA).

This comes after the gluten-, dairy-, and whole nut-free fast-casual restaurant operated a four-month pop-up out of the Savi Provisions in Buckhead

The Wilders started searching for a new location in the fall of 2019. The search was postponed due to the coronavirus, which changed what their ideal location looked like. They needed a space that prioritized to-go orders and covered outdoor dining.

“We also needed the ability to easily maintain six feet separation for guests when ordering, plus covered outside dining that would provide essential all-weather, pup-friendly social distancing,” McCall Wilder wrote to WNA in an email. “Our new location checks all those boxes.”

The space they’re operating in, which formerly housed Holeman and Finch gastropub (relocating to Colony Square), will include five socially distanced tables inside and eight to nine socially distanced tables outside. It will also feature a rear door for contactless exit only.

“Our team continues to follow the stringent health & safety procedures we have always abided by due to our allergen sensitive menu,” Wilder said. In addition to the regular table sterilization and mask usage among staff, KarmaFarm will also provide free masks for those without one.

“Our family is unbelievably grateful to our very loyal KF community, who has supported our small team of 6, plus our own family, non-stop,” Wilder said. “These hundreds of amazing regulars encourage us daily to keep on, keeping on, as we continue our mission of serving pure, real food for all eaters, whether they are vegan or carnivores.”

KarmaFarm is currently open from Monday to Saturday, from 11-8. The team is working to roll out their full offering along with a coffee bar. Gluten-free beer, craft cocktails and biodynamic and vegan wine will be available “when licensing allows.”

  1. Was hoping for a similar restaurant/bar as H&F to open here, but, oh well. Not sure what use craft beer and cocktails will be if the plan is to close at 8 PM every night. Indeed, not sure how much dinner crowd they can expect if they close at 8 PM (I would think 9 PM would be the earliest if they want to catch families from Brookwood, Garden Hills and Peachtree Hills since closing at 8 PM essentially requires order be placed by 7:30 at the latest).

Could be worse – at least it’s not a “luxury lounge,” daiquiri bar, or hookah location that seem to be taking Buckhead by storm lately.

    1. Well, they’re probably doing a light version of their business– given the C-19 restrictions.
And once they get their pouring license, they’ll probably stay open later.
Go out their and support them, that’s what they need most of all right now!

  2. I don’t think that’s the location I would choose if I were prioritizing to-go orders. I guess it’s fine except for afternoons, rush hour, or left turns.

    1. Following on … I just can’t help but wonder if they got tricked by pandemic traffic this spring. Anyway, hope they do well. I grew up in that area and for whatever reason (probably the nightmare of Peachtree Street) it always seemed impossible for good takeout places to survive.
