Available for hotel overnight guests and locals alike, the Epicurean Theatre will host educational forums for the open discussion of a wide range of topics, from cultural trends and cooking techniques, to the art of mixology, wine-tasting, and more.

Events will include demonstrations, tastings, and pairings all led by notable local and regional chefs and beverage professionals. “Overall, the high-tech kitchen classroom aims to bring dynamic, inspiring, and engaging programming to attendees of all levels of culinary expertise,” a spokesperson in an email told What Now Atlanta.

“The Epicurean Theatre is the pinnacle of our hotel’s amenities,” Marc Bauer, Epicurean Atlanta general manager, said in a prepared statement. “It’s about discovery, fueling of passions, and learning from talented artists in a close-up scenario. This venue directly connects our local community to our culinary legacy forged by teachings of Epicurus and the commitment to excellence of Bern Laxer, founder of Bern’s Steak House in Tampa, Florida.”

While theatre programming will be overseen by Chef Ewart Wardhaugh (who will also helm the kitchen at Reverence), the team at Epicurean Atlanta has enlisted local Atlanta experiential agency Southern Culinary & Creative to develop additional events and classes.

Elizabeth Feichter, Kelly Campbell, and Rebecca Lemelin Gann of Southern Culinary & Creative helped co-found Atlanta Food & Wine Festival and other culinary and cultural experiences throughout the Southeast.

“We’re exploring meaningful and thoughtful themes as we are planning out the events calendar at Epicurean Atlanta and cannot wait to reveal what’s in store later this summer,” Feichter said. “Both hotel guests and local residents will be able to do it all with top-of-the-line technology at their fingertips – it’s going to make for a fantastic experience.”

The 1,964 square-foot space will be equipped with a state-of-the-art kitchen thanks to partnerships with Sub-Zero and Wolf. It will also be outfitted with multiple 86” LED TVs and space to accommodate over 100 attendees. Epicurean Atlanta’s theatre will also act as a customizable event space.
