Poncey-Highland’s new “boutique bottle shop” Elemental Spirits Co. is soft-opening on Friday, February 28, the owners told What Now Atlanta over email.
The 1,797-square-foot storefront, at 602 North Highland Avenue NE, is adjacent to the newly-refreshed Manuel’s Tavern.
Elemental Spirits Co. retails craft spirits, natural and low-intervention wines, local craft beer, and associated provisions with a focus on education, storytelling, and customer experience for the “thirsty and curious.”
“Long ago, I fell in love with the art and craft of creating, making, and perfecting alcohol,” Cory Atkinson shared via the Elemental Spirits Co. website.
“The natural process of fermentation is scientific at its core, but it’s humans that have evolved and pushed the boundaries of making something unique that reflects terroir, tradition and a specific gilded knowledge.”
To that end, Elemental Spirits Co. has partnered with Elemental Cocktails, a mobile app for classic cocktail recipes and histories as well as practical tips like bottle storage.
With this partnership, Elemental Spirits Co. hopes to “offer a valuable mobile resource to customers aspiring to cultivate their home bar experience.”
Elemental Spirits Co. aims to serve as a “touchstone for the imbibing community within Atlanta and beyond.”
The shop opens at 11 a.m. Tuesday to Saturdays, 12:30 p.m. on Sundays, and by appointment only on Mondays.
