El Azteca is a family-owned and operated restaurant best known for its expansive menu and Cinco de Mayo festivities. The margaritas are fresh, the food is authentic, and the scene is festive — which is just about all you can ask for from a Mexican restaurant.

The new Sandy Springs location will occupy a two-story corner spot with wrap-around glass walls in Perimeter Town Center, a 20-acre mixed-use development, home to retailers, restaurants and offices, owned by Ackerman & Co.

“This lease offers El Azteca a prominent location with eye-catching architectural appeal for its fourth restaurant in Georgia,” retail broker Courtney Brumbelow said in a press release. “With this location in the heart of the Central Perimeter office submarket, El Azteca benefits from the huge daytime population in the surrounding 29 million square feet of office space, proximity to the ‘Pill Hill’ healthcare district and the area’s growing residential population, including thousands of residents of newly developed apartments and townhomes.”

Based on the location alone, it looks like the new El Azteca is primed for success. But you should head there and check out the food (and the scene) for yourself. El Azteca will open at 6115 Peachtree Dunwoody Road in September 2021, the perfect time of year to give up on your “summer body” and down an entire burrito — and chase it with a margarita.
