Dugan’s Restaurant & Bar, one of Atlanta’s most popular sports bars, signed a lease at Northlake, the former mall undergoing a major mixed-use transformation, as per a press release from Ackerman Retail, the leasing team for the project’s retail and restaurant space.
The Northlake redevelopment is located at 4800 Briarcliff Road, about 14 miles from Downtown Atlanta. Its aim is to repurpose the former enclosed mall into a space for businesses, retailers, and other restaurants. So far, the redevelopment has attracted two large office users, Emory Healthcare, and CDC Credit Union.
The project will open opportunities for additional chef-driven concepts, fast-casual restaurants, coffee shops, and brew pubs to open in Northeast Atlanta.
“This is a great opportunity for Dugan’s to be a part of a dynamic mixed-use environment that will provide built-in foot traffic from onsite office users and customers visiting a wide variety of retailers and restaurants,” said Suzanne Shank, who is part of the leasing team representing Northlake owner ATR Corinth Partners. “The restaurant will also benefit from the project’s location along the busy Briarcliff Road retail corridor.”
For over 40 years, Dugan’s has been serving its original buffalo-style chicken wings in Atlanta. At its new Northlake location, the restaurant will also offer its other long-running favorites in a more upscale sports bar environment, including nachos, burgers, quesadillas, and seafood.
The restaurant is targeting a fourth-quarter 2022 opening at Northlake.
