‘Dress Up’ Is Moving Its Windward Parkway store to Alpharetta City Center

Slated to open in the fall, the clothing boutique will be situated in 'The District.'

Dress Up clothing boutique this week announced plans to relocate its Windward Parkway store to Alpharetta City Center.

Dress Up will be located in “The District,” two blocks of retail and residential buildings developed by South City Properties and Morris & Fellows.

“The hometown feel that Cheri Morris and her team have created at Alpharetta City Center is a perfect fit for Dress Up,” Derrick Case, CEO at Dress Up, said in the release.

“Our customers tend to stop by every week to see what’s new so it’s important that the surrounding environment be welcoming, with a good mix of tenants. We saw Cheri create that in Woodstock and we’re looking forward to being a part of her success in Alpharetta.”

Slated to open in fall 2018, the new retail store will be situated at the corner of Academy Street and across from Market Street Park.

The interior will offer something not seen in previous stores with a more simple and modern design and décor.

“The emphasis is on the clothes,” he said.

Alpharetta City Center is a 26-acre mixed-use property developed in partnership with the City of Alpharetta to expand the existing downtown historic district by six city blocks.

The city opened its new City Hall, a new Fulton County Library, the five-acre Brook Street Park, the one-acre Town Green, and the 445-car parking deck in January of 2015.

A partnership of South City Partners and Morris & Fellows developed the street-level shops of “The District,” and “Amorance,” 168 apartments.

Amorance opened for occupancy in July and the shops will open in September.

Morris & Fellows developed “The Gardens” restaurant and park area, with restaurants opening throughout the summer and fall.
