Coffee and sandwich cafe will open in a newly constructed building.
Update: Stevie Baggs Jr., owner of Dream Cafe in Castleberry Hill, told What Now Atlanta in a phone conversation Wednesday that the Dream Cafe in Stone Mountain will be a separate concept under different ownership. The article has been edited to reflect this information.
Dream Cafe will open a location at 5289 Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain, according to plans filed with DeKalb County this week.
“I believe this is a concept from a former business partner, and I’ll be looking into what’s allowed regarding the Dream Cafe name,” Dream Cafe Castleberry Hill owner told WNA.
Bags Jr. played in the NFL and CFL for nine years and is now an actor, most recently alongside Will Smith in Focus.
Dream Cafe describes itself as an “empowerment lounge” that offers “coffee, creativity, culture and community”, according to its Facebook page.
The Stone Mountain location will be in a newly constructed building.
