The restaurant will replace Doc Chey’s Noodle House, at 1556 North Decatur Road, and feature “Asian-inspired bowls piled high with grilled meats, healthy grains and a variety of locally grown/seasonal ingredients,” according to a press release.

To build a dragon bowl, guests choose a “style” (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai or Vietnamese), a base (ramen, dragon rice blend, vermicelli or fresh salad) and a protein (grilled chicken, ribeye, pork belly or marinated tofu).

In lieu of fountain drinks sweetened with corn syrup, Dragon Bowl will offer a rotating variety organic and fair-trade iced and hot teas and craft sodas sweetened with pure cane sugar. Adults will be able to enjoy local and imported beers, wine and infused sake.

Dragon Bowl is 1.8 miles from Doc Chey’s Noodle House in Morningside. The restaurant will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
