The retail center in Hiram is anchored by Cheeseburger Bobby’s and is also home to restaurants like Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant and Bangkok Cabin Thai Street Food. The space that Douglas Donuts is taking over was previously occupied by agency Chartwell Staffing.
Douglas Donuts is owned by Sam and Bola Chhun. They currently operate one location at 6920-F Douglas Blvd in Douglasville. The Douglasville shop relocated from Marietta in 2018 in an effort to improve business. “We have a lot of experience and it’s really about the bakery. We make everything fresh, by hand, every day,” Bola told Patch at the time.
The Chhuns are also the owners of Carroll 168 Donuts at 928 S Park St in Carrollton. They opened Carroll 168 at the beginning of 2020 before COVID-19 began and have maintained good business despite the pandemic.
The Hiram donut shop menu will be similar to its Douglasville sister location which features regular and filled donuts, fritters, croissants, and breakfast bagels, biscuits and burritos. Drink items include hot coffees, teas, smoothies and ice blended coffees.
