Anna and Chris Gatti are finally opening their Virginia-Highland Doughnut Dollies this week after teasing a May 2021 debut.
The grand opening “of our brand new (super cute!!) [Virginia-Highland] shop” is set for Saturday, August 21, 2021, the company announced on its Instagram Monday. “We have already met so many of our new neighbors as we have readied the spot over these past months and we are super excited to serve you and meet more of you!”
Ahead of the opening Saturday, Gatti does warn on Instagram that “doughnut production levels and length of service times will increase as we grow our team and learn more about you and our new neighborhood!”
It’s unclear why Doughnut Dollies is celebrating its opening some three months after its original plans to open but it didn’t take long for the updated news to spread through social media Monday (thanks to What Now Atlanta reader Rachel Kitchens for the tip!)
Doughnut Dollies has grown to three locations since it first launched in 2015. The dessert shop’s founding outpost is situated in Marietta and was followed by a location in West Midtown on Howell Mill Road.
