Dos Bocas, which means “two mouths” in Spanish, will offer Cajun and Mexican cuisine.

The restaurant and bar will replace the now-shuttered Legal Sea Foods, at 275 Baker Street NW.

“After years of working and traveling in Louisiana and Texas, Legacy Venture’s founders have taken their favorite local recipes and brought them together for this new restaurant concept,” according to a press release Thursday.

The menu will feature dishes influenced by the roadside stands and mom-and-pop shacks found along the 300-mile stretch between San Antonio and New Orleans; from enchiladas and tacos to po’boys and crawfish and shrimp etouffee.

“While running restaurants in Houston and New Orleans earlier in my career, I developed a love for the cuisine across the two states,” Brian Bullock, Chief Operating Officer of Restaurants with Legacy Ventures, said in the release.

“A few years ago, when our team at Legacy Ventures opened a restaurant on Mustang Island in South Texas, my passion for Cajun and Tex-Mex cuisine was reignited. Finally, the right opportunity came around to create a restaurant serving the food we love here in Atlanta. Welcome to Dos Bocas!”

Currently, under renovation, the two-story restaurant boasts 8,000 square feet and will feature a bar, private dining areas and an outdoor patio with a view of the newly renovated greenspace at Centennial Park.

Local restaurant design firm ASD | SKY is designing the space, “drawing inspiration from the bright colors and textures of Tex-Mex, Mexican and Cajun culture.”

The restaurant will join Legacy Ventures’ collection of 13 owned and operated restaurants, hotels and event spaces in downtown’s Centennial Park District including Stats Brewpub, Twin Smokers BBQ, Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria, Glenn Hotel, Glenn’s Kitchen, SkyLounge, The Cloakroom Kitchen & Bar, The American Hotel, Embassy Suites by Hilton Atlanta, Hilton Garden Inn, Ventanas, Legacy Test Kitchen and Game-X.

The company’s footprint expands outside of the downtown area with 11 additional assets outside of downtown Atlanta across Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
