Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody will welcome a new restaurant in 2023.
Doc B’s Restaurant + Bar, a restaurant chain named after Founder and President Craig Bernstein’s father, already has several locations in Chicago, Florida, and Texas.
Bernstein started the fast casual dining chain in 2013, with a focus on fresh dishes. The chain moved from fast casual to a full dining service when guests began to ask for menus. The chain offers salads, burgers, sandwiches and “wok out” bowls. It also serves wines and spirits.
The new location in Dunwoody will be about 7,000 square feet. Tomorrow’s News Today first reported the news.
It will be Doc B’s 11th location by the time it opens next year. There are plans to open a ninth location in Indianapolis at the end of this year and a 10th location in North Carolina next year.
“We’re excited,” Bernstein told What Now Atlanta, adding that he went to Emory University and his first general manager job at a restaurant was also in Atlanta. “I have a lot of ties. It feels like a natural place to expand our business.”
This will be the first Doc B’s restaurant that is being built from the ground up.
“So this is going to be our first freestanding building , which will be in the front entrance of the mall,” Bernstein said. “It will be our biggest footprint.” The location will include a 3,000-square-foot patio. It’s going to have an outdoor bar, a retractable canopy and lots of TVs for sporting events and other events.
Coincidentally, the location is opening 10 years after Bernstein opened his first location.
“We’re excited to come to Atlanta,” he said. “We’re going to be embracing the community and will have specific menu items that are catered to the locals’ palette.”
Perimeter Mall is located at 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Rd.
